I have thought long and hard about the name change and went back and forth with it for some time, but after a lot of debating I ultimately decided to make the change. Why, you may ask…Well as most people know, CMC are my initials. While it is part of my name it was to anonymous. I was constantly asked what CMC meant or stood for. This wasnt annoying me, but it cause me to think. To many people didn’t know who they were talking to, contacting, or who I was. I want people to know who I am, and that they are hiring me. I want to be more personal and take a more personal approach to my photography. I want every image I show on here, facebook, or where ever to literally be my autograph. So here we are, Christopher Cooke Photography is here.

Other than the logo, website, and so to be revamped blog, there wont be very many major changes. Wedding Photography is still offered as collections. Portraits are still $100 per session. However, portrait pricing as changed a bit. I now offer print packages and ordering for portrait sessions are done in the clients home Oh, yeah….I also now shoot with Nikon cameras!

I am really excited for the future of Christopher Cooke Photography, and I hope you are too. Over the next month there will be LOTS of promotions going on so make sure to keep up with the blog and watch facebook for more announcements!

When I heard this story it pretty much secured the Almond’s prize, because there are no worse pictures than NO PICTURES! Thats right, Jacqi and Donavan have NO PROFESSIONAL PICTURES from their wedding. This is not because they hired a friend or someone off of craigslist. They hired a season pro who actually took decent pictures. After their wedding on 07/07/07 the Almond’s wedding images were uploaded to a online viewing site for the couple to see, but that is as close to those pictures as they ever got. The photographer disappeared, took their money and ran!! He never produced prints, or an album, which was paid for in advance by the way! All the couple has is images taken by their guests and to make this story even worse, there are 22 other known couples that this guy bailed on! Now supposedly Jacqi got an email from their “professional photographer” about 5 months ago saying that he was broke and there was nothing he could to.

Well I am going to give Jacqi and Donavan some pictures they can be proud of and hang on their wall!! They will get a 3 hour photo session with me, 2 – 16×24″ wall portraits and the rest of the images on a disc for them to print. Also Flowers By Erica from Calistoga, CA will be providing the couple with a bouquet and boutonniere (as close to exact replicas as we can make) so their images will be as close to “wedding day authentic” as we can get!!!
